About AI Choice Desk

Why this exists

Small businesses buy AI software on the strength of a landing page and a demo video filmed in a quiet room. Three months later they are locked into an annual contract for a tool that does not do the one thing they bought it for.

AI Choice Desk exists to close that gap. We test the tools, publish the renewal price next to the advertised one, and say plainly who each product is wrong for. That last part is the one most review sites skip.

How we make money

Two ways, both disclosed. Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy after clicking. We also run display advertising on some pages.

Neither affects our scoring. Products are ranked by their score against our published criteria, and products with no affiliate program at all appear in our recommendations when they deserve to. Several of the tools we rate most highly pay us nothing.

What we will not do

• Accept payment for a higher position in a ranking
• Let a vendor review an article before publication
• Publish a score for a product we have not used
• Remove a criticism because a partner asked
