Display advertising
We serve display advertising through third-party networks including Google AdSense. These advertisements are selected by the network, not by us, and their presence on a page says nothing about our view of the advertiser.
The wall
Advertisers have no input into editorial content, scoring, or rankings. No advertiser is told in advance what we are publishing. Buying advertising does not get a product reviewed, and declining to advertise does not get a product criticised.
Sponsored placements
If we ever sell a sponsored placement, it will be clearly labelled "Sponsored", excluded from every ranking and comparison table, and never described as a review.
